Royal Oak is about 45 minutes northeast of Ann Arbor. I grew up one 'burb west of there. You'd want to take M-14 to I-275N, then I-696E to Woodward. I might know where you're going....

I might be able to do this before the gig!
I'm off that day, so I can catch an early show and be there in plenty of time (in theory)!

Royal Oak is a little out of your way, but anything by Gaiman is probably worth it.

Well, not ANYthing. If they were doing a theater run of "Neverwhere", I wouldn't even roll over.

from a2 take 94 east to 75, 75 north to 696 west, go two exits to Woodward Ave/Main Street. Make a right onto Main (it's before Woodward), and it takes you right into downtown Royal Oak- figure on an hour or a little less drive time in daytime traffic, hour and a half in rush hour. if it's playing at Landmark Main Art, you'll go right by it. there's a quicker way to get there through M12 but i'm too sleepy to describe it properly.

damn. half of the ann arbor slam is reading scott woods at the same time one friday morning. that's weird. esther's way is a little shorter, it just involves more roads.

Cool, thanks! I think I'm going to try to do this.
It is indeed at Landmark.

Landmark's right on 11 and Main, and they have a parking lot right there. The mexican grill across the street (Zumba!) is pretty good. It's cheap Baja-style stuff, but it's quality.

I'm going this weekend; I'll let you know how it is. I fully expect my review to consist of slackjawed mumblings and droolings. I am SO very excited that we get it opening weekend!!

I would love to, but shows are at 2:00, 4:15, 7:00, and 9:30, none of which would fit into my day. What time are you getting into town?

Any time I want; I'm off that day.

Come on...let's kiss and make up at the movies!
Call in sick! It's not like they wouldn't believe you MIGHT be sick.
