Juke Joint Poetry
This is what I've been working on this weekend, among other things.
Some years ago I fell in love with the work of photographer Birney Imes, particularly his juke joint photos. I contacted him for permission to do some poems inspired by his work, to which he readily agreed. The link is the result.*
