March 31 - April 1
History in the making!
Scott Woods will be performing a 24-hour feature!
One man, 24 hours, hundreds of poems

-------------------------

You read that right. No, it's not a typo.

At the end of the month I'll be doing a 24-hour feature; me reading poems for 24 hours straight.
It's for charity and fundraising, but it's also because I hadn't heard of anyone ever doing it before and you know me: if I see a poetry mountain, I just HAVE to climb it. So I'll be in a venue from Friday evening until Saturday evening doing the longest feature ever.

I'd been kicking around the idea of a 24-hour open mic since we had the one at NPS 2001 in Seattle. I thought it was a great idea, but I've been feeling the need to push my envelope a little this year soi far, so I said, "What the heck, let's do this."

I'm still putting some of the event together (will have venue locked today or tomorrow) and figuring out how to do this without dying on the microphone. Lots of No-Doze and sustenance and cover poems. Should be a good/ridiculous time, especially about 6 hours in, when I realize I have to do everything I just did again THREE MORE TIMES.

You think you're hardcore? You have no idea who you're messing with.
