I have not posted in a year and a half. I blame the alien abduction. Good times, at least that is what implant is telling me to type.
In actuality, I've been writing. Like lots of stuff. I, in fact, finished an original novel. I've read articles and books and stuff that said something to the effect of "finishing the novel is the hard part." I'm calling bullshit on that. Getting it published... that's the hard part.
After a long series of thanks-but-no-thanks (with some replies still outstanding), I'm giving serious consideration to e-publishing. They fact that my lovely wife only seems to buy books for her Kindle makes this thought not seem like horrible idea it started as.
So, as I continue to beg and plead for any publisher to please, please, please give consideration to a first-time author with lots of fanfic writing experience, I'm also going to look into the DIY route.
