Something isn't working right for me. I see:

So I don't see any reference to the non-Cashbaq thing you're talking about, either image or link. From the comments, I see you're talking about something called Mr. Rebate. Can you repost a link?

I mean, obviously I can find the site on my own, but if you want referral credit or whatever.

Hmm. I'm looking at my entry, and the banner is right there.

If you can't see it, here's the link

I checked to see whether it was my ad-blocking software, but it wasn't. Dunno. Guess it doesn't matter.

I've seen this sort of thing before, and what I think si going on is, in some cases, sites won't let you link directly to an image, so random people just trying to look at it in the context of your blog entry won't see it. But if you've been to the site and loaded the image legitimately, it's in your browser cache so it looks fine to you.

Interesting. They provide the banner/link code for use on Blogs, message boards, websites, etc.

Can you see the banner?

Cool thing about browsers is, you can disable, delete, or discriminate with cookies.

It's a new technology that Algore just added.

I'd be willing to bet this little thing won't work if you've got cookies disabled. There's no such thing as a free lunch and I suspect you are going to get "marketed to" for the rest of your life based on purchases you make through the sites.

The way it works is the site (CashBaq for example) gets paid a commision on your purchase from whatever site you buy from, then they give you a portion of the commision, and keep the rest.

Hm. FWIW I do use Adblock plus, although songmonk said above that ad-blocking didn't seem to be a factor (though I don't know if he also uses Adblock Plus, or the same rules)

I also use Adblock Plus, and I disabled it and reloaded the page but still couldn't see the image.
