OK Bob, here's the review.
I did a 2-mile test run in them today. the weather is still really wet here, so I did it on the treadmill.
These are made to be word sans socks. I was worried about blisters and stuff, but after my test run, I'm not worried any more.
The feel on the inside is wonderful. Your feet can breathe but still they feel protected. My feet were cool and comfortable, and they didn't feel restricted. I felt like I had a neoprene diving suit on them, if that makes sense. Yet the material is thin enough to not be constricting in the slightest.
the weight of these shoes is almost non-existent. They were so lightweight that when I got the box, I wondered for a second if they forgot to put the shoes in there.
Running and walking, they were amazingly comfortable. You feet are allowed to move as they would were you barefoot, but they are still protected and cushioned by the sole. It's a perfect combination.
My recommendation would be to get a pair if you've been thinking about it. I don't know how the five fingers would stack up to the Nike Free, but they are the same price, so do your research and go for it. This barefoot technology really has something to it, I think.
