So, working at Goodyear is much more fun and entertaining than I have would have expected. The hours are nice, too, since I don't have to be in until 10am, I can stay up a little late, which I've always favored. I certainly enjoy it much more than having to be there at 4am :P. I get to deal with people a lot, which I love, and the co-workers are all surprisingly fun...much more so than I had expected of mechanics and such. I'm still learning their god-awful computer systems, but they're not too bad, and I can do the pretty routine things on my own now. I also spend a lot of time driving the Goodyear truck around in errands...picking up tires from other stores, delivering tires, picking up or dropping off customers, that kind of thing. Not too shabby for $9/hr.
It's been a very hectic week for me. I went from doing nothing the last few weeks while job hunting to a full time job, then Bryan Scary and Shredding Tears came into town again, played a fabu concert here...I'm so happy they did Ceiling on the Wall!!! That was fun. Then, Wednesday night was The Lion King with my family and Will, since Lisa has stayed up too late partying with the Tears the night before...Will got along with my family quite well, which was nice...lol. The Lion King was fantastically cool! Visually masterful and such! I was particularly impressed with how they did the stampede...
In the mail today, I got a letter from Bellarmine, which basically is a conditional acceptance, the condition being that they receive my recommendation letter from Dr. Klueber. I have no idea what is taking her so long...I'm going to email her AGAIN tomorrow. She really needs to get that done, right!?? But, yay for conditional acceptances! It seems my plans are working out again!
I went to my parents' for visiting and laundry tonight after work. It was alright...my mom is considering Lap-band surgery, which we spent some time talking about. She wants to make a good hard attempt of losing weight on her own first, which I think is the best idea...I don't think she'll survive with only eating 2 ounces of food/meal. Food is waaaaaaay to important to the Staubles, this is a known fact...I obviously have my own issues. Bah, I need to lose weight too...bah for weight being so hard to lose and yet so easy to gain!
Our A/C in the apartment was freezing up and broken-ish. But it's fixed now, because our apartment complex is the best...I'm going to miss it, and the quick response times and such.
Alrighty! almost bed time? who knows!
