We’ll always have Paris, Rhys thought, idly, watching Gwen walk across Roald Dahl Plass from the car. Whatever life and Torchwood throw at us we’ll always have the memories of this weekend. Driving off he smiled remembering Gwen, cocooned in his arms, looking out across the city from the top of the Eiffel Tower, both squinting into the sunlight.
He held on to that bubble of happiness that evening as Gwen looked at him with fear in her eyes, jumping every time he made a sound, and realised how much he hadn’t wanted the weekend to end.
