While its nice being back in school and all, this about the time in the semester that I remember why I wanted it to end.
First exams are on and I'm not that happy. These exams are always the most stressful for me, so needless to say I can't wait for it to be over and done with. I like my classes, well, I still hate chemistry, but I still like computers so I guess thats a good sign. Friday night I went to the CaribFest on campus. At MSU, we have a good size number of students from Grenada and what not, so they did several traditional dances and music and had a buffet line for food. I took a little of everything since I'd never had caribbean food, but the highlight was I had goat for the first time. It wasn't bad, but I don't think I'll be eating it for awhile. Oh, we did the limbo at the end to islander music which was kind of fun. A couple of friends and I then went to go see Batman Begins afterwards in the student center. This was the second time for me, but hey, when Batman is trained as a ninja and has a samurai sword, whats not to like about that, hehe.

This weekend I worked at the Sheppard AFB airshow. The local CAP squadron had a booth so I came to support/babysit. It was small compared to OKC's airshow, but good. The Army's Golden Knights performed...thats their parachute team, A-10 acrobatics, and the P-51 demonstration were all good, but the army went all out in their ground display. From the Army CENTER that they had up, you could get free dog tags, backpacks, climb the rockwall, play army created simulators and games, and ride a tank simulator. That was just in the center, outside they brought in a HumV with the laser targeting system, a tank with the long "canon" on it(Crusader I think), and a howitzer. Basically fire support from Fort Sill came in. It was awesome and the best part was they actually let us craw in all of them. One of my friends back in Oklahoma just joined up with fire support so it was kind of cool to see what he was gettin to ride in.

Last Monday night I passed my yellow belt test in Judo. I'm getting ready for my JuJitsu one as well. Got all my japanese vocab right and did pretty well on the physical part. I of course did the throws I picked much better the night before(grr) but I still did well. I'm still bumbling around, but stuff is finally starting to click. However, I seem to do throws really well that involve driving my face down into the ground, heh. About broke my nose Thursday night because of that. I got a dark bruise across the top part of my nose where the edge of my forearm rammed into it from my partner landing on my head. Not very fun peoples. I might have scored, but damn it hurt. At least its not swelled anymore.
