Casey's Wedding

Casey, a close childhood friend of mine got married yesterday. The wedding was small and it was a good time. Casey, Elizabeth, Caulay, and I, haven't all been together in years. It was weird because we didn't really miss a beat and when we are all together it's like no time has passed at all. Our roles were all still the same when put in the same room together. It was really surprising to me that we all still had same core personality traits. Caulay is still on the quiet side, Elizabeth is still a helper, Casey is still the one who initiates actions, and I am still the clown (which is odd because most people in my life now, haven't seen me that way). It was fabulous to see everyone, and having them meet Snic was great. I was amazed at the memories that came to me when were all together. I had dinner with The Boes (Elizabeth's family) and that was a highlight for me. Mrs. Boe is the picture of poise without any snooty undertones. She's incredibly well educated (she is a teacher). She is a coffee addict and always has been. She's just a really hip lady. I adore her. Casey's old art teacher was at the wedding, Sue, who I had only met a few times. I was at her house once and met her border collie, Kitty, who was a great dog. She passed away about 6 months ago, at the age of 14! It was good to see Sue again and talk about Kitty. Casey's sister, Austen, was there as the matron of honor. She has done very well for herself, married, is living in the D.C. area with their pug (Bella) and is a very accomplished lawyer. Everyone seems to be doing just fine, which is great news. There was a lot of laughter and being goofy, and Snic did very well blending in with this pack I ran with so many years ago. It was all in all a quite close to perfect night.
