I lost my beloved mother and my much loved brother to pancreatic cancer. My family now has a "team" in the Relay For Life, volunteering to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We started this team five years ago, and I am proud of the work we have done. Last year our team raised the most money of all the teams in our town, mostly due to a calendar we produced.
Once again this year, we are trying to raise money for cancer research and support for those who are living with the disease and their families. The relay in my town is next weekend, and I am asking for anyone who can manage it to send me a donation. You can contribute via PayPal at Scotticher@aol.com, or send me a check or money order. I have matching funds available, so anything you donate will be worth twice what you donate. Should anyone wish to donate, I can send you a receipt for your taxes.
I hesitated to ask, since it seems I am always asking for money for something or other...but it is never for myself and this is a cause dear to my heart....so I am asking anyway. Please...only donate if you want to and have the ability to do so without causing yourself financial harm. I don't want to deprive you or your loved ones of any necessities.
