American Cancer Society Relay for Life

As you may remember from last year, every July my family has a team in the local Relay For Life. This is a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society, and we started our team in memory of my mother and brother. This year the event will be held July 9-10th

I walked in the Relay last weekend (in the POURING RAIN!) for my three grandparents who I lost to cancer. I hope you have better weather (and a more organized team...) :^)

Thank you, honey...we are pretty organized, thank the good God we have both me and my niece who are organized kind of people. As far as the weather, they chose this particular weekend because even in the uncertain (weather-wise) PNW, mid July is usually mild-hot. We have done the relay...well, this will be the fifth time. And we have had good weather so far.

I've lost a few to cancer, including one to brain cancer just last year. Count me in for the $50, hon. I'll do the PayPal thing this weekend.
