Getting old.
I was talking to Shawn Elise and she was saying that she'll be 20 soon and that makes her sad. She said that it's kind of weird that she'll never be a teenager again and knowing that she'll never, ever be something again is kind of strange. It's out of our control. So i said that it's been almost ten years since she was 10. Remember being 10? I don't think it should really matter if a 1 isn't the first number in your age any more. That's all it is. And being 20 isn't all that great, how is it any different than 19? or 18? it's not. you don't have any more privileges than you did 2 years ago. dont' start worrying now about being 20 when you can't even drink legally. We haven't even reached the last milestone age.
There's no reason why we should let anything get us down on our birthdays. they only come once a year. And think of how many other things you can control. Adding age to our simple list of stressors and disortunate things is just silly. We are in control of so many other things.
