Where to start...
I got laid off from my dispatch job. What with the auto industry tanking like it did, and my division handling an auto manufacturer, and me being low seniority, it was bound to happen.
But then I got a new job, working in a call center and doing tech support for computers. Can't say who the employer is (disclosure issues) but suffice to say it was a bit of a coups to get hired - especially so soon after being laid off. Started training Monday, gonna be training three weeks, then hit the call center floor. Things'll get interesting then.
Meanwhile, had spare time between jobs so I got some raiding in with my guild in WoW. It's getting so I'm passing on gear most of the time now in 25-man runs. Definitely looking forward to when 3.1 and dual-spec comes out. Got my 1k saved up for dual-spec training already! Kinda dreading the lag I'll experience at the inscription trainer those first few days, but it'll be worth it. It'll be nice to swap from full arcane pvp to single target arcane/icy veins dps on a dime. Has anybody noticed some of the high dps classes and builds are getting kind of whiny about things by the way? I've got a fire mage in my guild (fire's currently the top dps build for mages) whining about me (arcane) doing more dps because I don't pay attention to mana issues in the short fights, then whining about my staying power because I have more frequent mana refresh options in longer fights (arcane traditionally, and even now still, is the most mana expensive mage spec in the game). I'm like, give it up - you just proved you don't have the required mastery of your build to keep up despite your superior gear and your claims to having perfect rotation. Sigh....
