Life, the Universe and... running!

It's been such a long time since I posted anything about my life!

tl:dr - I'm fine

For those who want some detail - it's been four years since Christopher died, and the anniversary really hit me hard this time for some reason.  Maybe because although it's been four years, it doesn't feel like it.  I wasn't prostrate with grief or anything, but it was a difficult day and I had a good weep on the drive across to Aberystwyth.  I reminded myself that there was a time after he was diagnosed  and for a while after he died when that was a regular occurrence.  I could swear I heard him telling me to pull myself together!

Anyway, since he died, I've been wanting to do something to raise funds for Parkinson's UK and by some amazing fluke (me being a person who doesn't normally win a raffle) I got a ballot place for the London Marathon. Eeep.  There has been a considerable amount of panic ever since - and running.  Lots and lots and lots of running...

I'm now tapering, which means I run less and it's wonderful.  I keep reading articles about dealing with the taper blues and I'm like "What, you're kidding?" - I'm so happy that I only have one more long run of 26 miles (and a bit) and then I. Never. Have. To. Do. That. Again.

I really am not built for long distance running.

Anyway, in case anyone is interested, I have posted a link to my fundraising page below and my running number is 5471 in case you want to track my progress on 23 April!
