So I saw the High School Version of Rent today...
It was better than I expected. They couldn't pronounce mogul (they said moggle as in goggle), What You Own became an ensemble piece, and Roger had a cornrolled fauxhawk but it wasn't all that bad.
Collins was great. Mark was an adorable little half Vietnamese/half Filipino kid who, while not the best singer, had Mark's mannerisms down very well.
It was what one could expect from a high school production (minus the odd blocking of Will I and the scene change DURING the curtain call)
all in all, not too bad. It could've been worse.
