And does the world remember us
Passing swiftly through its endless corridors
Our passing, a sudden, shocking hurt
A shockwave that pervades all who knew us
Its strength proportional to love
Dying out, and all around still living
Those we loved a quiet tide pool
In the endless stream
What relief can such silence give
We must hope that life continues
For this momentous pause, does not sustain
