The home stretch

Long time, no post. My mom and aunt have been here for 9 days and we've done an incredible amount of tourist stuff during that time. Makes sense, since it's probably the only time they'll ever be in Russia. Two cities, three palaces, ten or so churches, as many restaurants. Exhausting, but fun. I'll post photos soon.

So we leave Moscow in 3 weeks. Then it's another month of traveling, first with a 10-day vacation, then shuttling between Georgia and N.C. getting our new house set up.

It's going to be really weird not to be here anymore. And to drive 8 hours in our car, and fry from its broken A/C, and stop for gas and Arby's, and understand everything that everyone is saying around us. I've really gotten used to walking, subways, half-understood conversations and wearing long-sleeve shirts in the middle of summer.

I'll probably re-acclimate quickly. Then I'll think it's weird that I don't think it's weird. Sounds like me.
