I don't think the sap-o-meter overloaded, but it might have hit the red zone a few times lol.
I like the idea of Reid having a previous life and having that life shape him. I can completely buy into this universe. Reid was cranky because he was lonely. When Luke chose to gently but tenaciously pursue him the sting of loneliness lessened. Thank you for giving us a glimpse of their first Christmas together.
sorry for the edit, but I forgot to mention how much I like the silver spoon snow globe. Its cute!
"So they took their time, but they enjoyed each and every step"
I cannot begin to tell you how much I needed this right now. I remembrance that life is not always perfect, but life goes on, sometimes one step at a time, one day at a time, one memory at a time.
So happy that they both found love again, patiently, securely, and with each other.
I did! A week earlier I was floored by a nasty flu, but I felt good enough to enjoy the holidays! First one without my mom-in-law, so that was strange, but still we had a wonderful time! You?
You were close to your mother-in-law, I see. Well, my parents incorporated all our friends and children-in-law into our already huge family, so I know the feeling of losing a parent-in-law comes very close to losing own parents sometimes.
For Christmas Eve my children and I have developed a special ritual, very simple, very 'frugal', calm... just the three of us, the following day our partners have 'admission' to join us and the feast begins since my partner is a very good cook and he loves to eat and to feed us, the day after we meet (parts of) my birth-family, this time we met in a beautiful Alsatian town, last year in Switzerland, the year before in the Czech Republik...it depends. You know, I am from a family with a crazy, multicultural, heterogenous background, so our meetings are always something else...and not always in a harmonious sense ;)
Hope you're recovered from your flu! Have a good day! <3

I don't like all Romantic poets and poems, but this one never ceases to enchant my heart - surely you know it:
Moonlit Night
It was as if heaven
had quietly kissed the earth,
so that earth with its shimmering blossoms
could only dream of heaven.
the air went through the fields,
the ears of corn swayed gently,
the woods rustled softly,
the night was so clear and starry.
And my soul spread
its wings out wide,
flew through the quiet lands
as if it were flying home.
Wish you a nice, dreamy day!
