The Halloween dance was fun but I’m beginning to notice that the same songs are being played over and over again in what seems to be the same order. I was also hoping for different contests other then sexiest dance, disco etc. The glow stick limbo was amusing. I could never do stuff like that because of my back which sucks >_<. Unfortunately Justin and Lindsay had a few verbal exchanges that thankfully didn’t last very long however I could have done without the constant worrying and room dodging.
It was nice to meet and see people again most of which I’ve already forgot their real names so I’m going to apologize in advance before I make a fool of myself the next time we see each other.
It’s funny how so many people are already planning what their going to do for AN. I find it hilarious because I know plans and costume ideas always change like 2 weeks before hand, which causes frantic sewing sessions. I’ve decided that I’m not going to keep making a new set of costumes for every event I go to. I would rather have 3 or 4 well made ones then 6 half ass ones just so I can part of everyone’s little groups. I’m not going to count the outfit I’ve made before I got my sewing machine because most of them have fallen apart due to poor hand sewing and hot glue ( yes hot glue; only should be used for adding fine details or things that can’t be sewn however I had the idea that hems and seams can also be fixed with this method *Shudder*).
I haven’t fully decided was outfits I’m going to be making for next year until I know my budget.
I better get that job at Around the World (btw it’s an international gift/craft store like Green Earth and is NOT a travel agency) because I turned down a chance to work somewhere else. The good news is I have a few hours of training next Tuesday just to get familiar with the store layout and how to run the cash “their” cash register. It’s going to a change from working in big department stores where they don’t give a crap what half the employees do and screw you out of hours/pay whenever they can.
I think I’m really going to like working there. They always have incense burning and nice nature inspired music playing. It’s a relaxing atmosphere, which might help once the Christmas rush begins. It’s a family run business and they pay under the table so neither of us is taxed for it. I guess it’s kind of illegal for him to do that but I can’t get in trouble if he gets caught lol.
