bridget: still drizzling and cold. my yard is getting hard to navigate. and they're kind of predicting snow for sunday. strange.
tuesday i got 10 hours of sleep. last night i got 11. tried to drink half a beer tuesday, couldn't do it. none last night. it's been easy. and i feel like a million dollars. or a billion yen. i'm sure that doesn't convert quite right, but.
so i'm feeling great and i'm working late tonight to beef up my overtime hours because i am severely fund deficient. i had to rescue my checking account from the red yesterday before two, and now i've got $4. but we get paid tomorrow. so i'm planning on working until 8 tonight and then going to jen b's (maybe) and then to martin's to watch the dancers. i could use a good chubb talk, sit at the bar, sip some whiskey. but i re-started riven rock (tc boyle) last night, and it's beckoning me. so i may just go home and read and get another 9-10 hrs in.
i'm supposed to have an interview for a sales position with the jackson free press this afternoon after 2. with todd stauffer, the publisher. should be interesting. they are expanding their sales force and moving into bigger offices in fondren. the paper itself has turned into a real force for jackson, getting more impressive with every issue. there's actually a new issue out right now. i dressed up sort of today, so i hope he calls so we can get this over with. from what i can gather, it's mainly commission, with a small stipend for gas $. so the ultimate goal (for the time being) would be to keep the runner gig part-time, show up here mornings and do my daily runs, then go sell ads and then come back here and do the pm runs. keep my health insurance, and have a little more guaranteed income. i don't know. should be interesting. i'm also planning on going back to the liquor store two nights a week and every other saturday, for the tax-free income and the excercise.
