Greek classes are finished with - my final exam is next Wednesday evening. It's been a good class - a peculiar class, in some ways. The other students were all MDivs, working their way through Greek because it was a program requirement, and from asking around I've gotten the impression that I won't see very many familiar faces in my spring Advanced Greek course.
That said, it was fun to come at the Greek from a different angle. The professor constantly brought up the theological implications of different translations while we were working in class, I assume as a way to get the MDivs interested. He himself loved the language, it was plain to see, and wanted this to be more than just another prerequisite to his students. For some, at least, I think he succeeded.
My applications are almost all in - the ones that are due on the 15th are completed except for one set of recommendation letters from a professor who seems to have dropped off the face of the earth this week. But it's a busy time of year for professors, so I'm not too worried. About that, at least. Still worried about actually getting into a program next fall.
But friends are coming into town this weekend, and the weather has cleared up, so it is hard to stay worried about anything for long.
