I'm finished with my second semester of nursing school!!! What a relief. My week was so busy. On Monday, I had an A & P test that wasn't too, too hard. On Tuesday, I had a nursing test. I have a B overall in Nursing. I didn't do to well on the last test because on Monday I wasn't feeling well. I was feeling achy and tired, so I took a four hour nap!!! Four hours that could have been spend studying. Well, knowing me they would have been more like two hours, but still. Then I went home to sign my name on my taxes. I drove down on Wednesday morning for an IV lab; then in the afternoon we had NLN's. On Thursday, I got to sleep in, and went into take NLN's again. [But that time it was a different test.] Then I met with my clinical instructor. I was able to study outside yesterday and get some sun. Thankfully, I didn't burn, but I didn't tan either. Today, I had two microbiology tests. One was for lecture and the other was a lab practical. I think I did well on both of them.
Yesterday, my clinical instructor gave all the nursing students a Medical-Surgical Survival Bag. In it were highlighters, granola bars, a first aid kit, notecards, and a Take Five Bar.
-The highlighters are for our reading assignments
-The granola bars are for our breakfast for the OR rotation in the summer
-The first aid kit is for us to keep on hand, just in case
-The notecards are for studying for tests, to make flash cards
-And the Take Five candy bar is to remind us to take a break once in awhile and dive right back in [I already ate the Take Five candy bar :)]
Tomorrow, I am going to a wedding. A girl at nursing school, Breann, is getting married. Breann was telling me her fiance went to North Hills Christian School. I think we played them in volleyball.
Sometime over break, Amy and I are going to go shopping and look at bridesmaid dresses.
