Post X-Mas Post
Well, made it through another Christmas, if barely! All the baking (Time on my feet) took a real toll on my knees this year, I am only today feeling like I don't need my cane to get around the house. I tried to do as much shooping as I could on line, but there are always a few last minute things that you just have to go out to get, and that was really hard. The wet weather didn't help any either! I guess all the people telling me a really need to get an electric scooter are right, I just HATE the idea of making such a spectical myself! As it is, I may get stared at, but at least I am still getting around on my own. Anyway..... Christmas was good, if a bit dissappointing. Not from the recieving end, I got some very nice things, but because I have been so broke that I couldn't afford to give the sorts of gifts I have in the past. Everyone understands and I'm sure they don't feel sligted or anything, it's just me who feels bad about it. I wanted to get some toys for my babies (ok, the dogs!) but rawhide bones from the Dollar Store were all I could manage. I don't suppose they really know the difference, and they certainly had fun tearing them open! So now I just have to get through my Son's birthday on the 31st. It's a good thing he wants an ice cream cake, since we still have german chocolate cake left from Randy's birthday and pies and a ton of cookies from Christmas! Ice cream cake will keep untill we work our way through the rest of it! lol! Well, I hopw anyone who might be reading this had a great holiday, be it Christmas, Haunuchka or Kwanza.
