I've been putting this off for a little while as I was reluctant to end it. It's been a long, drawn out tribute, much longer than I expected it to go. Here, at last, in early 2012, over six years since the premiere of the Report, we catch up and I end my long lookback in the week where Stephen has taken time off to be with his ailing mother. It's a little strange to me that I did this, and I think a major part of it was I wanted to visit so many great moments in my favorite segment on the show, not to mention give me a way to look back and see how things have changed in the past half decade. They've changed on this how, in politics and the world, and of course more personally in my life. I think that was part of the Summer Movie Retro thing, too, letting me relive the memories I've made as I've transitioned into adulthood. Now we have only the future to see, until I pick another thing to remember on this blog.
BTW, there's an app for the Word, for both
Apples and
Droids. You can watch them all from your mobile devices! What a world. So without further delay, time to watch the final (to this point) editions of The Word:
