Well, my suitcase is out, my sheets are bought, I'm stocked up on toiletries, and things are finally coming down to the wire. I think it's, at last, starting to hit me that this is my last day in Cherry Hill for a while and, for once, I'm starting to accept it. I think living away from home is going to be great for me - just what the doctor ordered. I know I'll miss my mom and my dog like crazy, but thinking about the fun, new people that I'll be meeting makes it all a little bit easier. Things are actually looking up.
So, I've got the ball rolling with this whole "packing" thing. I still need to take my mom to Best Buy and Bed Bath & Beyond in order to get a monitor for my new computer as well as some little things for my room, like a hamper. I love how I wait to the very last minute to do everything. This is how I do things, though ... in true procrastinator fashion.
Last night, by the way, was amazing. It was the best way to say good-bye to one of my closest friends. I'm glad that things worked out so well. I still have a few more farewells to say, which makes me sad, but they're not for forever. My closest friends will all be here when I get back, and that makes things okay.
Thank God the college gloom is finally over. I'm starting to like this idea in the end.
