The goals!

Re: this is what I've actually done so far. Seeing as it's march that's a, what, quarter of the year gone? Wow.

1) Be more active. Eat healthier. Find an activity that's very physical and do that at least once / week. Hiking, skiing, rock climbing, biking.... I don't want to be one of those people that sets a weight goal. I just want to feel healthy.

---Working on the bike thing. This one's failed.

2) Keep the apartment clean. This is going very well right now considering how messy I usually am.

---Aside from the fruit flies I'm awesome. No clothes on the floor. WTF? lol...

3) Don't be afraid to approach people. This was a goal I had upon moving to Vancouver. I'm getting there but it's not perfect yet. I'm working on loosing that fear.

---I'm still working on it. I try to talk to a new person everyday on the way to or from work. There are a few places I'm still shy at. mainly at MT friday nights. hmm.

4) Fly to Toronto in the summer.

---I practically have a ticket.

5) Get my license.

---G1 (or the equivalent) will definitely happen.

6) Apply to schools. Apply to part-time college as a backup.

---Applied to VCC for their interpreter program.

7) Get out of debt. Current owings: Osap (this doesn't count): 8,000. CC: 2,500. BC: $2,300. Keep in the black at all times.

---less $1,300 is 3 months. Not horrible, right?

8) Keep my receipts.

---Hahahahah! What was I thinking writing this?

9) Go camping. Lots. Buy a great tent and get friends with cars. Spend more time outdoors.

---Um, it's march.

10) Save $100 from each paycheque. Open a bank account from a different location (CIBC, BMO...) and keep the money there. Leave the bank card at home.

--->.<

11) Make it through January, Febuary and March at the Brick!

---BOOYA!!! Sweet. With OK paycheques too! All-be-it not the best. Whatever. I made it. OOOO I even won a subwoofer this weekend at work- I'm awesome. Sold almost 20, 000 and made almost $1,200 for myself. XD Just don't ask me when it's getting delivered.

12) GET DENTAL SURGERY BEFORE THE END OF FEBUARY. This includes paying CC, finding a dentist to do everything at once and getting money from dad.

---1/3rd the way there. I have the 'money' to pay for it.

13) Keep in touch with people. Send snail mail.

---Well, at least i write the letters. Now I just have to learn to mail them.

14) Work harder at the Brick. Don't leave work until you've made $80 in the day. Goal should be $150.

---Considering the time of year this goal is good so far.

15) Keep a positive attitude. Smile always. Work on conversational skills.

---I still have that problem where I walk by people on the street and even if we're eyeing eachother I don't smile. Gosh, I must look like a real bitch some days.

16) Find a way to make extra money.

---Why did I write this goal? The answer? Work harder! Duh.

17) Meet people who know sign language and see them regularly.

---Well, I met Ravi. Although we don't have much in common. And people far away. Now i just have to get up the currage at MT.

18) Take some courses in art, theatre, music, etc.

---

19) Get clown tattoo.

---Outline this month!!!

20) Buy things that last: great pants and shirts that last a long time. Better quality may cost more but it lasts so much longer.

---Or, you know, just go thrift shopping and spend less money on usually more expensive stuff. Doesn't work for the business category but I'm never buying jeans from retail stores again!

Yup
