The start of an interesting day.....
I started my trikke ride at 7am.
7:05am, giant turtle crossing the path.
Stopped to check him out.
7:10am, another giant turtle crossing the path.
Stopped to check him out.
7:15am, dead duck in the grass about 3 feet off of the path........neck twisted, laying on his back, feet sticking straight up in the air.
Stopped......thought about moving the body a little further from the path.......but didn't.
8:15am, passing dead duck again.
Wait......did that duck just blink?!?!?
Stopped......walk towards duck.......duck starts trying to flip over.
Looks just like a turtle trying to flip over.
I gently put my foot under the side of his body and help him flip over.
He runs away from me and nothing appears to be wrong with him.........guess he must have just been really tired from trying to flip himself over that he appeared to be dead at 7:15am.
9:30am, driving home, stopped at a red light, I saw a very nice hammer in the middle of the road.
I don't want to run over it, so I jump out of my Jeep, grab it, just as the light was turning green.
