The best time to fall in love and have a relationship is when you are young.
I've just come to realise that as you age, it is harder for you to enter into a relationship.
The chance of falling in love is easy if you're lucky enough to meet the right person. But the entering into a relationship is quite something else.
The longer a person has been single. The more set the person is in his or her ways. The more active the person is at work, play and society. The bigger the adjustments that need to be made to allow someone into your life.
When you try to make an effort to adjust but the solid ground that you stand on starts to unravel a bit, do you let the opportunity pass to focus on the many things you're juggling in life or do you let a couple of things drop to go find out where this might lead and invest in a possible tomorrow?
Oh well ... life has many lessons to teach and I take this as another I've learnt.
love,
growing older
