I recieved word today that I was selected to study at the Gaiety School of Acting which was a gigantic relief and pleasant surprise. I was also surprised to hear that I had been accepted earlier, but they didn't send out information right away or something stupid along those lines. And the big bang is that they only accepted 10 students this year, so it'll be some "mano e mano" (sp?) time with the teachers and such. I also found out the the current artistic director for the Guthrie in MPLS founded the Gaiety School and that Colin Farrell is an alum. All this combined with the fact that it's in the heart of downtown Dublin and I'll be there... made my day.
I also bought Kung Fu Hustle today because the movie is hands down the best film of 2005 (or 2004 if you're living or visiting China).
And I just purchased Kevin Kling's play "21A" online. I think I may do it as a one-man show in the Spring. I need to talk to Ray about my senior project jazz. Maybe an Irish one-man show? "The Good Thief" or "Rum and Vodka" by McPherson? We'll see.
Finally, I am going camping in about 2 days. It's gonna be so good. I haven't camped in a very long time and to break out the ol' tent with Emily will be real fun. REAL fun.
