So, tomorrow is my pharmacy interview. I hope it is not raining because I have to ride my bike over there after class and I'd rather not be all wet at my interview. My grandmother is freaking out about it. She wants to be all involved. My dad called me last night and told me that she had talked to someone she knows - a pharmacist - about what it was be like. I told my dad that I already know since they had a Q&A session telling us all about it. One of the girls where I work had her interview a couple weeks ago and she thinks she did pretty well. I told her everything I was told about it, so she was probably more prepared than all the other transfer students who got interviewed.
In other news, we have 8 pledges this semester for Mu Phi. That's crazy! We have 9 members right now, so we doubled our membership in one semester. All the pledges seem really enthusiastic about Mu Phi and I, as well as everyone else, am excited about the future of our chapter. We just taught them the creed on Sunday and we sang it all together and it sounded so much better with that many people. We still need more tenors, but Louis was hanging in there pretty well. I started up on the website again. I have it under my space at UOP (
http://www1.pacific.edu/~g-parker/ ) and I'll get it moved once we get the details all worked out. Tonight is out second pledge event - we're going to the Stockton Symphony. It is my first timr going to the symphony, so this should be quite a night.
I did my taxes and sent them out today. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Why is it that the state tax sheet is harder to fill out than the federal tax sheet. It seems like, since the federal one is just that: federal, that it should be more involved. But no, the 1040EZ is only 1 page. On the other hand, the California sheet is 2 pages and weird... I did all that for $10 that I decided to just donate it to those contribution things at the end. $3 to the Rare and Endangered Species Preservation Program, $4 to the State Children's Trust Fund for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and $4 to the CA Breast Cancer Research Fund. I should be getting about $300 from the federal, though, so it'll be shopping time in a couple weeks. Or...credit card paying time... damn credit cards...
Anywho, I gotta go study and stuff. I have a physics midterm and a genetics exam on Monday. Yay!
