our first gig
so we played at Norwell High School today, (only a week after finishing our 3rd album "SS Boutique" and only one word can describe how well we did.
"perfect"
we were the 3rd band up, the first was just a dude playing, then another band "one condition" played, they were pretty good... but then WE played!
we played a couple of covers, and mostly original stuff... we sold a bunch of albums too! we made like $55 today! if only we had shirts ready :(
anyway, we started off with a punk cover of "leaving on a jet plane" it was pretty cool except we forgot the words halfway through :P
then we did "eye h8 u", which was pretty good, then we did "my wasteland" and the crowd went wild. a song about Ossian? WOOOO! :P
then i performed "my love for you" which was okay... and then we performed a Nirvana cover, "all apologies" (perhaps a best song of the day?) and people from far away thought we were just playing a cd! we were so awesome! i got the crowd REALLY into it, turned the mic around, and got the crowd to sing, omg it was awesome!
then some lady said we needed to wrap it up so the next band could get ready... :(
then we played "broken" which sounded REALLY REALLY cool, then we left with "murderkill" and the crowd started moshing, and "the man" told us to get off stage :P
so i screamed "rock never dies!!!!" and we hopped off.
the next band was a group of *really* good players, but they just did instrumental covers and kinda put the place to sleep, so that kinda sucked, so we decided to leave...
