still awake in the smeared ink of nite.
I think I found a way to simplify things, I've been trying to take on too much.
this quote helped me immensely:
"An artist's expression is his soul made apparent, his schooling, as well as his "cool" being exhibited. Behind every motion, the music of his soul is made visibleŠ A martial art is an unrestricted athletic expression of the individual soul."-Tao of Jeet Kune Do
working 8-13 hours a day has built my confidence, given me peace. my body stays in action while my mind has time to reflect on what I need to do and in moments when I least expect to understand, it hits me.
I don't need a membership to a gym, I need a weight machine for my home. this cuts down on membership fees and actually allots me the time I need to work out. I would only be able to go the gym twice a week with my schedule the way it is anyway.
I don't need to go to a dojo to learn martial arts, at the present moment anyway, all of my problems stem from not having enough time during the daytime hours to be able to go a dojo, gym, or college/tech school and my inability to express myself artistically ( I believe I've been needing a completely new medium to work through and oddly enough upon dwelling on this quote for awhile, I believe it's my own flesh- my humanimal machinery).
I've been pulling myself in so many different directions trying to find what calls out to me and all along it's been right here with me, as usual it's been right here. I will learn more about everything else that I've been delving into by concentrating and developing myself.
I will read Jeet Kune Do and practice and train and strengthen my mind, body, and soul. I will also meditate- I have found an amazing text on philosophy from a mystical standpoint written about 75 years ago with such in-depth meditation exercises and explanations that I am positive I will learn how to quiet my mind.
I will also join the hive and work my 11 am -12pm.
I find out on Wednesday whether my child is a boy or girl.
I start work on my criminal justice degree Tuesday.
I am sore, though I must commend Charlie for giving me those painkillers today. They really helped. Working at the Olive Garden is one the most physically demanding jobs I've ever done. I never would've imagined.
It's bedtime.
