This past weekend was good and terrible at the same time. I like the good part to go first. My brother came down this weekend to catch a basketball game and watch the Super Bowl. I'm really glad he came for this game instead of the Texas Tech game like he wanted because watching the Jayhawks come back like that against Oklahoma was awesome. Also the Fieldhouse videoboard operators did some things they hadn't shown yet this season that made the comeback even better. At the end of the comeback when Julian Wright threw down a putback dunk they flashed a replay followed by the clip in Tommy Boy right after the deer tears apart the car and Chris Farley goes, "I've seen some things in my time but that was...AWESOME!"
There for the good part. The sad part comes in that 2 people died this weekend. One was a high school classmate who died in a drunk driving accident. He's the 2nd one from my class to have died since graduation. The other was my Math teacher. My calc 2 grad student teacher was found dead in his apartment and nobody knows how he died. It's pretty shocking and a bit upsetting as well. He was a really cool guy and made me look forward to attending my 8 am class which is pretty hard to do. So Rest In Peace Jayson Jewell (classmate) and Jon Foster (teacher).
