Things are confusing; I don't know where I should turn to...

I just don't understand things. GAHH!!! I try so hard and it seems like no one appreciates my efforts and no one even notices how much I give a damn. I need to stop setting myself up for disappointment. I have seen how others act with me so what is the point of expecting anything more?! Maybe it’s just me... maybe I’m the one who needs to change.
I have just come to two conclusions:
1) I'm too self-centered.
2) I don't deserve all that I ask, hope, and wish for.
