First of all! This is Ariel - normally I'd post this under the mod account, but it can't make polls, so here I am under the most recognizable character I play so everyone knows it's me. XD Priscilla is even wearing a... modhat. Sure why not.
So, okay. As many of you know, there have been discussions over the past few weeks about whether or not to move scorched to Dreamwidth. It's been under some minor consideration for months - basically since Livejournal ceased to load with anything remotely resembling reliability. But these considerations became more serious recently, as details about the new release came to light.
It's been kind of bad timing because of all the new members coming in, so we wanted to wait to bring it up officially until 1. the new members arrived, so they could have a voice as well and 2. the code actually went live so people could make their decisions based on reality instead of rumors and screenshots.
Which means it has now become time to ask the question...
Poll To Move or Not to Move
Some information to bear in mind when making your vote:- Information on the release and their plans.
-A guide to Livejournal and Dreamwidth's differences for RPers.
- Workarounds for the new system.
-The prototype for LJ's future design. [ reference, including link to the developer's post]
-The facts on paid accounts on DW.
-Some users cannot use the new browse icon function, whether because they use mobile phones or because of slow connection.
The latter isn't meant to be a push for a vote in any direction - it's just relevant knowledge.
Please feel free to comment to expand on your position/vote! And please only vote ONCE regardless of how many characters you play. If you vote with a journal that is not in the game (your personal journal, for example), please comment with that journal and explain who you are.
Finally, a move to Insanejournal is not on the table. While we realize some people prefer IJ over DW or even Livejournal, we also know there are some others for whom the asylum/insanity theme is upsetting, and we don't want people to need to choose between their hobby and... not being triggered.
