[little Kanda is making his way through the market place, looking under stalls and in the nooks and crannies, anywhere that seems big enough for a tiny Lenalee to fit into.

he knows fear when he sees it, and Lenalee is one of the few people he ever reluctantly admit to caring about when it comes to this kind of thing.]

..Lenalee? [peeks under another stall. where are yoouuu?]

Ah!

[She perks at the sound of his voice. Finally! It feels like she's been waiting forever.

Lenalee crawls out of her hiding spot, still clutching the Forge to her with one arm.]

Kanda!

[She races across the marketplace once she's on her feet.]

Oh...I guess you beat big Brother here.

[The look of disappointment fades a little as she reaches for his hand. At least she has him!]

Lenalee. [again, there's the smallest hint of relief when he hears and sees here.]

Maybe he's just.. further away. [a slight shrug. there could be plenty of reasons why Komui's taking so long.

he glances briefly at her hand, grudgingly allowing her to hold his. hopefully it'll keep her calm enough until Komui arrives.]

Do you want to wait for him here?

[Lenalee watches the darkness with an intensity beyond her years. Further away....of course it's something like that. Because there's no way that her brother would lie to or forget her.

She blinked and offered him a faint smile in the darkness.]

Yes! I told him I'd be here, so we should wait here!

[She turns, trying to lead him by the hand back to where she'd been hiding.]

[of course it is. Komui might be irresponsible and just plain weird some times, but he wasn't the type to abandon his sister.

a nod, and he allows himself to be led back to her hiding spot. hopfully it isn't.. too cramped. that would be kind of awkward. but he'd put up with it either way.]

[She leads him around one of the stalls, scooting back into the shadows as much as she can and saving a space for him. He might not have room to stretch his legs out, but at least he shouldn't bump his head.]

Did you come here all by yourself?

[She frowns a little bit, obviously feeling a little guilty now.]

[it's enough. kind of reminds him of sneaking around with Alma. or that time in the ventilation shafts, except.. not as cramped.]
