He had woken up in a surprisingly comfy bed. Last he remembered he'd been sleeping on a mat he'd taken from a bully he'd beaten. This wasn't that at all.

He looked around the room, frown on his face. How did he get here? As he was pondering that something started yelling. He turned.

Oh. Make that someone.

A small pink haired someone. Shouting annoyingly. Something about "doing here.

"I'm sittin' here, what's it look like?"

She scowled at the little intruder. He wasn't really all that much bigger than she was.

"You're sitting on Ken-chan's bed, you stupid! That's his, not yours!"

"Dunno who Kenchan is. This is mine."

He stood up on the bed, feet planted firmly as they could on the soft cushion. He tensed, waiting for a fight.

"If he wants it he'll have to fight me for it."

"If you try to fight Ken-chan, you'll lose! He's the strongest shinigami there is! And I don't know where he is right now but he's gonna be mad you're in his bed."

She tensed too when she saw him, dropping into a fighting stance and snapping her zanpakutou into her hand but not removing it from its sheath.

"But I'll fight you in his place if you don't get off his bed!"

"Fine. Then fight!" He stepped forward and waited for her attack. No sense in getting the first strike, then it'd be over too fast. He always found fighting fun. Sometimes he sought out the biggest bully/fighter in the neighborhood, just for fun.

The sword doesn't concern him. She doesn't concern him. This Kenchan guy sounded interesting but if he had to sleep on a bed like this, he was probably pretty lame too.

"What are you waiting for! Come on!"

"You wanna fight? Fine!"

As angry as she was, she couldn't help the fangy little grin that appeared at the suggestion of battle. With her sheathed sword in her hand, she dove forward, lightening fast, and took a swing at the side of his neck. That was when she noticed Ken-chan's eyepatch hanging there like a necklace and her grin turned back into a deathglare.

The pink thing was fast. But he already had his hand up to block the swing. As the blow was delflected, he noticed that she wasn't attacking again. She really must be bad if she can't attack more than once.
She's staring - no, glaring - at his neck.

"What?"

Instead of answering, she just scowled deeper. She was annoyed that her first strike had been deflected on top of the fact that this kid was trying to take Ken-chan's stuff. A pink aura began to form around her, seeping spiritual pressure into the air as she growled low under her breath.

Even faster than the first time, she shot forward, delivering rapid-fire blows to his chest and head with her feet and her sheathed sword with speed and force that her little body should not, by all rights, have been capable of.

The pink girl became pinker, somehow. And also became faster. Some of the blows did land but it didn't take him long to start deflecting them and throwing back some of his own.

A grin split across his face. She'd actually turned out to be fun after all.

He quickly stepped to the side as she started another barrage, seeing how fast she could recover and change tactics. He cocked his head and waited. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a larger sword laying by the bed. Should she ever unsheathe hers, it would be useful.

She was fast, maybe even faster than Ken-chan, and she was also smart. She was raised a canny fighter, so she saw move to the side almost before he did it and adjusted accordingly.

"Why do you have Ken-chan's stuff!" She was angry, that much was obvious from the reiatsu spilling off her. "Where is he!"

Heh, so she could keep up.

He continued to block the blows, adding a few more of his own. He could take whatever she gave. This was nothing.

Hm, she was talking again. Why do people always talk so much? This was a fight, not a debate.

He caught a fist and used her momentum to throw her over the other side of the bed. He turned quickly; she wouldn't be down for long.

"What stuff? I didn't take anything." He was called a lot of things but "thief" wasn't one of them. It didn't really matter but the girl should know exactly why she's fighting. No sense getting someone else's fight. He wanted his.

"And I don't know where "Ken-chan" is."

She dodged him just as easily as he dodged her. But this was getting stupid. She didn't want to fight this dumb kid! She had to find Ken-chan, because she didn't like not knowing where he was.

When he threw her she spun in the air like a cat and landed neatly on her feet, already preparing a counterattack. She drew her sword in midair and, feinting to one side just before, stuck him squarely on the head with the flat of it.

"You got his eyepatch around your neck, stupid," she spat. "So don't pretend you don't know."

The strike stung. Why she struck hm like that was anyone's guess though. Still, she was talking.

"Eyepatch? What are you talking about?! If I had an eyepatch it be over my eye. And how good a fighter can this guy be if he has an eyepatch?"

He slapped the sword aside and lunged to grab the other sword. He grabbed it with no trouble, now finally used to the odd surface of the bed. With it still sheathed he aim a sharp jab at her side.

"If you aren't going to fight right, then go away."

"He's the strongest shinigami ever! He fights with the eyepatch because it's more fun! Don't you know anything about challenging yourself?" She snatched at the eyepatch and pulled it off in a sharp motion, waving it in the air a second before stowing it in her sleeve.

She parried by whacking the sword with her sheath and pushing it aside.

"I might kill you if we fight right." It's half-teasing and half-serious. It wasn't as if she'd never killed before.

"Whatever."

Something strange happened when she took the eyepatch off him. A tingling sensation started rising from him. It felt good. It began to pour out of him, gushing like a fountain. He felt better than good. He felt powerful!

He cackled in delight. Whatever happened, it was fantastic! With a speed he didn't remember having he tackled the girl off the bed. He then returned to his spot of "king of the bed", the large sword he found unsheathed. It fit quite well in his hand, if a little big. There was something familiar about the sword. About this feeling. About all of this.

'Come on. You have to do better than that! Look, I'll give you a break. We'll go find your "Ken-chan" and then I'll fight you both! What are you waiting for?!' He slashed the sword through the air for emphasis. "I won't wait forever!"
