Her sandals slapped the ground hard enough to feel the pain of the hard ground through the light foam. Her feet were stinging -- she never ran. She sat by herself, drawing. She didn't do things that took much activity -- it was why she hadn't been able to wrench herself away from Riku's grasp in that moment so many months ago, why she couldn't tell Roxas everything he needed to know before she'd found herself here. But --

He was her new friend. She'd only known Allen for a few days, but she liked him, and then he'd been -- he had seemed about to die. Not dead, but almost there -- she would not let him fade. Whether or not Organization XIII really cared about each other -- even if Axel and Saix weren't really best friends anymore, even if Xion was only a doll made of memories -- that didn't matter. That didn't matter at all. She was different from them.

The girl slowed, almost stopping when she realized someone else was there. She wasn't sure who they were, but it didn't matter.

Namine fell to her knees beside Sohki, exhausted, and touched a delicate hand to the whitehaired boy's arm, the other clutching her sketchbook to her chest. "How... how are you doing?"

Now I'm going to have that damn ad stuck in my head =| playful_trouble March 26 2010, 14:37:42 UTC
[Dropping down from here]

"Mmm, and that's not to mention the others who have done the same~" He sounded thoughtfully after Allen had spoken. There was no doubt that there was something within them considering the apparently odd behaviour all the others had displayed. It was why he had avoided them and stepped back to observe. The bitter hatred from the locals was more than enough to make him suspicious of them, after all. "But I do believe you're correct."

The feel of another approaching their location drew the Kirin's attention momentarily away from Allen. Judging by her hurried movements, it was obvious to him that she had been previously informed about his state of being. So, this was one who would aid him?

He withdrew his hand as she approached and settled in to observe the situation.

"I am never taking free food again," he said, shaking his head a little. "At least, not here."

Footsteps sounded in his ears. Light, running footsteps. He guessed it was Namine, and he rolled his eyes, trying to see which direction the steps came from.

He was right when he heard her voice and felt her hand on his arm. "Managing--" he replied softly, swallowing. "As well as I can in th-this situation."

o-o I don't know that ad either. dollchains March 27 2010, 03:43:41 UTC
The girl gave a faint smile, though it had a small air of pity to it. "You'll be okay," she mumbled, having completely forgotten about Sohki for the moment. "We'll just have to go somewhere safe. Where are you injured?"

The girl lifted her blue gaze, turning her attention to the being who was located beside her. "I'm sorry. I don't think we've met. My name is Namine." She didn't recognize him, anyway. But then, she supposed, she wouldn't recognize a lot of people if she found them outside the network -- mainly, everyone communicated by voice alone.

I guess I was the only one who saw it O_o it was a good number of years ago XD; playful_trouble March 27 2010, 04:09:15 UTC
It was a rather pleasant sight to see as he watched the two interact. The last time he'd been around this many people had been at the Professor's manor, but most of those there had been the other guardians. They were hardly exciting since he knew well how they all would react. That was what made this encounter so appealing as he wasn't certain what to expect.

Finding her gaze on him, the Kirin regarded Namine with closed eyes while she introduced herself. "No, I don't believe we have." He murmured cheerfully before continuing, "My name is Sohki."

"You are the healer?" Sohki asked. The Kirin wondered if she would be attempting to tend to his wounds since she hardly looked strong enough to carry Allen anywhere. Unless, of course, more help was on the way.

"He stabbed me in my chest." Twice. "But since he first shoved me into a wall, I couldn't get m-my bearings too well. Tried to g-go for my throat but he missed." Scrape on his neck. "I just don't want to...pass out and risk a concussion."

Blood loss, too. If he thought too much about it, it made him dizzy. "I'm glad to see you made it safely, though."

The girl glanced up at the other for a moment, watching Sohki's face carefully for a moment. His eyes were shut -- perhaps something was wrong with them. "Healer?" she wondered after a moment, then shook her head. "No, that's not me. I'm sorry. I just... came."

Namine shook her head, giving Allen a tiny smile. "I'm all right. Don't worry, okay? Me and Mr Sohki will help you, at least until we can get someone to come fix you up."

Sohki listened quietly while Allen listed off his injuries. They did seem rather severe, especially for a human body, and he knew that the young man would need to seek medical aid soon. Yet despite his injuries, Allen still seemed to be more concerned over others rather than for himself. How interesting!

When he heard Namini's words, the blind Kirin found himself inwardly sighing. He had been afraid of this, and there was no doubt within his mind that this young lady would have a difficult time trying to carry Allen by herself. "There is no need to apologise, Miss Namine," Sohki said.

"My appearance here had not been for such aid but merely to watch," The Kirin spoke to the pair as he initially rejected the offer. Sohki had come merely to observe this moment and not to give actual aid outside of keeping Allen company until help arrived. Life and death were elements that he was rather impartial to.

He didn't move in to help, though, and instead glanced up towards the sky above them. This was something he had felt no desire to reveal, but there seemed to be little choice now. If he did not give his aid, then Allen's life would be put in further danger.

"Very well, I shall lend you my strength this once." Sohki spoke moments before his human form began to disappear. Sightless eyes peered at the pair as the four legged form of the Kirin appeared. He stood there quietly for the moment, almost as if debating their worth, before Sohki finally lowered his body down to allow for Namine to place Allen on his back.

No worries—I’m doomed to be sporadic this week, anyway. subrusticus_xiv March 28 2010, 19:58:45 UTC
“I don’t…” Blinking, he quietly sucked in a breath. “think I can do this for much longer.” His vision was blurring and making his head spin, but if he closed his eyes-

“Sorry.” He pressed a hand to his mouth and coughed. The rusty, coppery taste of blood lingered even as he swallowed.

When Sohki had transformed-no time to dwell on it now, questions could come later, he nodded to Namine and gave them both a half smile. “They’re…prob’bly busy with o-others. I think I heard about another person. It’s…better this way.” Timcampi fluttered in his face, and he weakly batted the golem away. “Stop it, I’ll be…”

Blackness, and he felt himself slumping forward. “fine…”

[ ooc: So…Allen’s out for now (I feel he’s been awake for long enough)-I’m not exactly sure what godmodding is or isn’t, but if this is, then the two of you can feel free to godmod a little by transporting him somewhere because previously promised help has been stalled. ]

m-me too. Considering I didn't get this notif. ;_;... dollchains March 29 2010, 03:11:57 UTC
Namine blinked up at the equine form, wondering what sort of magic could possibly cause such a transformation. There wasn't much time to ask, though -- after all, Allen was injured, and if they could move him easily and quickly, it would be the best thing.

As the boy passed out, she gasped and near-threw herself forward, supporting his limp frame with her own fragile one. "Um -- is it... it's all right if I put him on your back?" she asked the creature cautiously, but the way he was crouched gave her his answer, and she moved slowly, hefting him heavily onto the Kirin's back. "Should... I get on too? Or will it be too heavy?"

I hate it when that happens T_T playful_trouble March 29 2010, 03:26:15 UTC
The thought that he had to carry others wasn't a pleasant one for the Kirin, and he held no doubt to what the other guardians would think. Granted, if they'd been here to see it, he wouldn't have hesitated in reminding them exactly why he was feared. There was little else for him to do now, and he would give his aid this once.

He felt the dead weight of Allen's unconscious form lay over his back, but it was hardly anything he couldn't handle. Sohki peered at Namine with sightless eyes as he spoke, "Unless you wish to be left behind, I would suggest you seat yourself on my back~"
