Loras was in a similar state. While his white cloak and quilting offered him some measure of protection from the cold, plate armor was not really suitable for walking in the slush and snow. He'd nearly tripped when he first left the building, and had been forced to grab the wall for support. Embarrassed, he cast around to see if anybody had seen...and happened upon what surely couldn't have been his sister.

"Margaery?" he called, walking towards her as quickly and carefully as he could manage.

Her shoes were ruined, and so was her dress, but Margaery paid no attention to that. Her eyes widened at the familiar sight of her brother, and a bright smile appeared on her face. "Loras!" she shouted before gleefully running towards him, feeling as thought a burden had been lifted from her shoulders. When she reached him, she flung her arms tightly around him, ignoring the plate armor digging into her chest.

Despite all the confusion and uncertainty, she would not have to face this world alone.

"It is you," said Loras, wrapping his arms around her dumbfoundedly. "I don't suppose you have the faintest idea what's going on?"

He couldn't quite keep the smile off his face, though--it was a great relief to see her, ruined clothes and all. Even with Joffrey dead, he didn't much like the idea of leaving her alone in the Red Keep, and he definitely hadn't been looking forwward to making his way alone in a strange land. Besides, her smile has always been infectious.

(ooc; going to assume this happens before the renly/marg log, since in the network post loras knows margaery is here but doesn't know that renly's here yet.)

"Embracing you always hurts, you great lump," she muttered, though she showed no signs of letting go. "If you were ever gone, I could simply find an iron column and call it my brother." A worrying thought came to her -- if they had captured her and they had captured Loras, who knew how powerful this mysterious force was? "I don't know who's behind this or what they want. I woke up dreading my marriage, but I found myself here instead."

"Dreading your marriage?" he frowned. "To Joffrey? But--"

That was nearly a week ago, for Loras.

"Ser Jaime held a meeting of the Kingsguard," he said. "I spoke with him, then he sent me to the dungeons to speak with the lady Brienne--I did, and now I am here."

The more he thought about it, the more confused he became. How could it have been a different day for him than for Margaery?

"I almost called off the marriage three times," she confessed, pulling away from him reluctantly, "but Grandmother convinced me the plan would work. I couldn't stand having to smile and pretend to love him when he was being so horrible." She paused, noting that his expression seemed to grow more puzzled the more she spoke.

"The plan worked," said Loras slowly. "Margaery, you truly don't remember any of it?"

She looked at Loras quizzically. "Did he die in his sleep? I was not informed."

"It went exactly as Grandmother said," Loras furrowed his brow. "Joffrey has been dead nearly a week. I don't understand--is this part of the sorcery?"

She felt a growing sense of dread, if their abductors could manipulate time itself --

"What do they want? There have been no demands on us, no hints as to their identities. Have the mages of Oldtown discovered the secrets of time?"

"Would that I knew," said Loras. "What sort of captor gives his prisoners leave to walk around? There wasn't so much as a bar on the door."

Perhaps the city itself was the prison. A wild idea, but one that sent a shiver up his spine nonetheless.

She simply stood in silence, hugging her makeshift cloak around her. That some being could have that much power . . . Suddenly, she was all the more glad for her brother there with her, as selfish as that thought was.

"We ought to learn all we can," she said finally, donning the familiar mask of Margaery-the-queen. "Someone may know what is happening. Search for someone with answers." She waved a hand at the strangers around them. "I shall do the same. Meet me here again in an hour's time."

"If it please Your Grace," he grinned. There was something oddly charming in being ordered about by his little sister; he certainly preferred it to being ordered about by Lannisters. "Perhaps I'll learn where we might find sustenance and suitable clothes."

Margaery mock-glared at her brother, but she smiled all the same. "Stay safe," she said urgently, before turning around in search for answers.
