[Giovanni gives him a friendly nod, all smiles and optimism despite the torments being displayed by everyone lately. One cannot give up one's hope in any situation. He's been eyeing a stall, and the corner of a building; there's something appealing about a crossroads, when looking for locations.]

No, not at all. I arrived early simply to bask in the familiar bustle of the mercato.

Somewhere open. I'm dreaming too much today.

[Surely there might be a bench or something... He gestures at the corner building near the market.] It's perfect.

Busy! I keep my mind off the things that do not matter, as much as I can.

[There's a food stand near the building, and Giovanni signals quickly that he'll be paying, even though they aren't yet near it.] Whatever you would like, let me pay.

[No, no, you're getting a pat on the back as Giovanni chuckles.] You have been a great help, and this may be the last time I'm not soliciting your money.

Ah, fortunate. I would like to avoid that, if possible. Once I have enough capital to start this, I will not have need for much.

If you are certain, I'll rescind the offer.

[Silly Lancelot; friends do that sometimes.

He orders, stepping out of the way to wait and letting Lancelot order. But my, he's looking proudly at that building. How does he get it?]

[Visions of windows and light and storage space and a nice, ornate table are putting a twinkle in Giovanni's eyes. He turns his attention from the building to Lancelot, though.]

We can set the stall after we eat. You are feeling fine, aren't you?
