Ginko was still trying to get a feel for this place. He'd been here close to three weeks now, which seemed like a long time--but the cold and snow discouraged too much wandering around, so he hadn't gotten far from 'his' room. The marketplace was one of the places he'd been most often; he knew it pretty well by now, not just because it was a place to buy things. The people who braved the cold to wander through the place were interesting to observe as well.

One of those people appeared to be having a bit of trouble with a small object--he dropped it right as Ginko was walking past. Stooping down, he picked up the thing and held it out to the--very familiar-looking man.

He tried not to let his surprise show on his face. "Here."

He was about to bend down to pick up his wallet when another hand beat him to it. It seemed rather sad that he'd spent so long in bed and drugged up that he didn't recognize the man's face, but there wasn't anything to be done for it now. Weeks indoors had also meant he'd lost touch with what was going on outside in terms of the weather, and the cold certainly wouldn't help his situation any.

"Ah, thank you. I didn't think it had gotten this cold already... I suppose I picked a bad time to come out."

"Sure." Actually, the more that Ginko looked at him... Mustang had disappeared from Edensphere a long time ago, so Ginko didn't exactly have the clearest memories of him, but this guy didn't look that great. Like he'd spent a lot of time indoors recently or something.

"Mmmm... out from where? If you don't mind my asking." He wondered if he shouldn't mention that Mustang kind of looked like hell, but refrained for now. Who knows what had happened, before he'd been whisked through the Door?

He raised a hand to rub at the back of his neck, a slightly lopsided smile on his face. It felt a little weird to explain it, if just because without expansion, it seemed like Riza had kept him locked away for... whatever reason. "My gi- Lieutenant's apartment. I haven't been in any condition to be out and about lately, so she's been helping me with things."

...like eating. And getting dressed. And other incredibly humiliating things he'd rather not think about. Ever.

"I assume you're fairly new? Well, as in arrived within the last six weeks, at the very least?"

"Aaah." That explained why the guy didn't look that great.

He nodded, shoving his hands in his pockets (and fleetingly wishing for a cigarette). "Yeah, I showed up a couple weeks ago, not too long before the snow." It was still strange, being in a place so like and unlike Edensphere. "I'm still getting used to it."

"It's not that bad... Well, sometimes it is, but I suppose any place would have its share of problems. The only downside is that there's no way to know who's the next to come or go."

He shrugged and drew his shoulders up to ward off the cold that crept down his neck. "I can't say I care for the snow, though. I don't know people can stand it." All the melting, the wet, the slush, the mess... he'd never understand how people could live in that.

"Mmmm." Same as always. He idly wondered if there were more places like this, that pulled people from their real worlds and held them... and just as suddenly decided he didn't want to know.

He smiled a little at the expression of distaste on the man's face. "Maaa, snow's not so bad. As long as you can bear the cold, that is." Personally he didn't mind the cold that much, unless it was unnaturally cold, and the winter could be beautiful, if you just took the time to appreciate it.
