[closed] when the moon doesn't hit your eye like a big pizza pie

Nov 21, 2011 21:35

Who: Nymphadora Tonks and Remus Lupin.
When: November 20th, the evening hours.
Where: They begin at Fort Tonks but who knows where it will end...
Format: Paragraph to start, action or whatever to follow.
What: Remus has asked Tonks out on a date though they may not make it past her front door but not for reasons one might expect.
Warnings: Maybe later.

Remus Lupin had finally done it. He had been the first to initiate what could possibly be the next step in their relationship. He had asked her out on a date.

There's enough to do with getting ready that it takes Tonks' mind off the implications of the date. It's enough that the mere prospect of their evening takes her mind off of a lot of different things. In a way, it's been good for her. However, it may come back to bite her.

A new dress had been needed. It has nothing to do with wanting to impress Remus. It does have everything to do with wanting to feel special and look special for herself. Well, mostly it didn't have anything to do with impressing Remus. A small part of Tonks wants to knock his socks (and possibly more) off.

While getting ready she had been clumsier than her normal self. Possibly, she had been even clumsier than she had been in her own world. She had knocked over the few cosmetics she had in Anatole. They had gone flying from her dressing table and across her bedroom floor. She had
tripped over almost everything. And when she had finally finished getting ready there had been almost an hour more to go.

And so, Tonks had read a few chapters in a book. She had primped herself again. Tonks had tidied up a bit and when she had been done with all of that, a half-hour still remained.

Tonks then checked the Forge network. She spoke to a few people. She primped herself one last time but as she looks at the time, she sees that she still has more than ten minutes to wait.

Oh, bugger.

The waiting is the hardest part.
