[having been dead for so long and resting in a place that others would seek for help, shirley distinctly knows when her presence is wanted. needed, even. such sixth sense has been put to good use in anatole, and it's only a few moments before she appears behind the boy.]

Yes?

[she can see the fatigue in him. what have you been doing, roxas?]

[Oh you know, just being a hero and paying for it.

Her sudden appearance makes him pause briefly before turning to face her. The idea about who she really is doesn't even touch his mind when he finally uncurls one of his arms to show the kitten to her. Besides the blood matting down the fur, it's missing an ear and its tail and legs are twisted in wrong angles, having been crushed underneath a boulder.]

Can you help him? I can't-...I can't heal him right now.

[shirley is not unfamiliar with torture and gruesome injures, but when roxas reveals the tiny victim, she is still taken aback: a slow breath out as she cocks her head back and her eyebrows knit together.

wordlessly, she reaches a hand out; gold light emits between her hand and the kitten, and quickly, its wounds disappear, bone cracking back into place and muscle healing properly. its missing ear remains, though; she can't do anything without the ear itself, but that heals over, blood stopping and the tissue scarring.

roxas can feel the warmth of her magic, and when the kitten is healed, she doesn't retract her hand, and the light continues. a wordless, "shall i heal you, too?"]

[It's nice to feel that continued warmth pass through him too, and he mentally tracks the healing process of the cuts, bruises, and aches he's acquired. The only thing that doesn't seem to be touched by the spell is his hand with the circle ripped open in the glove. He had healed it before, but the reaction to Shirley's spell is different; the newly reformed skin feels inflamed for a brief moment until he shifts the cat in his arms.]

Thank you. I didn't know who else to ask.
