What: Rhode gets a taste of her own medicine for once. Maybe she'll stop just popping up behind people and scaring the daylights out of them.
Warnings: From Rhode's end, there will be a broken kitteh and very little remorse. :|
[ It's hard to amuse herself these days, and she's so close to the brink she's trying to avoid -- the one that could only be fixed by the brutal murder of a certain white-haired Exorcist -- that she needs something to do, to keep her mind busy and her hands clean. Causing a ruckus right now would just complicate things worse, she knows, and she's still worried about the Fourteenth arriving and making trouble she isn't ready for, or the Apocryphos managing to follow them into Anatole from their world.
So she's just minding her own business, sticking to rooftops when she's not bothering Tyki, and the bookstore roof has become a favorite of hers. Such a nice view.
She found a very small cat earlier that morning, and she's just standing there at the edge, leaning over the edge slightly and dangling the mewling kitten over the side. It seems pretty secure; she's holding it in both hands, and the kitten itself doesn't seem to be so worried. It just keeps staring at her, big green eyes, ruffled white fur and all, meowing softly at her.
Rhode's smile is small, but it's slowly growing. This is one thing that makes her feel better -- a simple way to remind herself that she's in control. She's still in charge. Everything can fall apart around her, but one thing stays the same:
