Who: Sebastian Michaelis (demon_andbutler), Elena (wellsuited)
When: Forward dated to the 22nd.
Where: A theater in Anatole
Format: Paragraph
What: The horrible result of Elena winning a certain butler at the date auction.
Warnings: Fantasized violence.

It all started with Elena offering him a job...washing windows, if memory serves. A fairly typical scenario for her.

He had declined.

He publicly inquired about employment. Once again, she tried to hire him...laundry was added to the list.

Once again, he had declined.

But it was the way he did it that really got under her skin, with politeness and a smile that she didn't entirely believe. He was a butler, a servant, and yet he had the aura of someone who was very much in control. There was a part of Elena that liked breaking people down, of riding them until they would agree to almost anything if she would just shut up. Tenacity was in her genetic make-up. But he refused to submit. Under certain circumstances, she would admire someone so unbreakable. But that smile...

When she saw his name in the auction, she thought she had him.

Fast-forward to way too many ivories paid for a "date" with a man that she didn't even like. But it would be worth it if she could have him spend the allotted time scrubbing the stains out of her carpet. She would've paid for his services. She would've won. And she would never have to think about him again.

And then a package was delivered to her office -- dress and shoes and two tickets to this...opera thing. He was upping the ante.

But she wasn't folding, because Elena wasn't big on submitting either. So she learned how to walk in those ridiculous shoes, and she learned how to lace herself up in that ridiculous dress. And she let him escort her to the opera.

Maybe opera was a bloodsport? Or not. But it didn't take her very long to decide that it should be. She winced at a high note before glancing at the butler beside her. Yeah, there should definitely be blood.
