Waiting until night (or just as soon as it was dark enough that Draco thought that he had the chance to get around the city without being seen) to leave his aunt's house had been something that he had been quite accustomed to doing. To his relief he had still been able to apparate wherever he needed to go, though even that was slightly frustrating in that it took a considerable amount of bloody concentration to manage to get to where he wanted to go.

In all, though he felt different-- almost more powerful, really, in this place, it did nothing to stop itself from getting on his nerves. Really, where did whoever had brought him here (and he thought that maybe his aunt thought that it had been the Dark Lord, but this place was an odd place for him to choose and she was a little touched in the head, really) had succeeded at only one thing, and that was making him feel loony.

As he landed awkwardly in yet another dark alley, he scowled, stumbling just slightly. Clearly he hadn't quite worked out the whole way to use magic here yet, but the familiar weight of his wand in his hand was enough to make him feel at least moderately safer. Turning his back without looking, Draco leaned slightly against a brick building, just scowling into the darkness as he worked to think about who and what he was going to focus on studying tonight. There had to be at least a few more interesting people and things around here, didn't there?

It was rather sudden, though, with his back facing the entrance to the alley and his front facing the darker area of it that Draco thought that he sensed someone else around where he was. It wasn't a magical ability, but rather just the sensation of him not being alone.

"Who's out there?" he called, his voice shaking maybe just a little in wariness. "This is my sodding alley, I'm sure I was here first, so you should show yourself!"

It wasn't much colder than the city he'd lived in, and at least there were actual seasons here. But that didn't mean that Heine didn't get cold, and he was starting to feel chilled. He ignored it for the moment and only continued on his aimless walk.

His footsteps slowed as he turned the corner. Gaze fixed somewhere near the top of the building nearby, he was almost surprised by someone calling out further down the alley.

"It's not your alley," he muttered, half to himself. "And I'm not exactly hiding, either," he added in a louder voice.

At the sound of the voice, Draco very nearly jumped out of his own skin, whipping himself around with his wand hand held out as he whispered lumos so that he could try to see where that voice was coming from.

"It's my alley if I say it's mine," it sounded weak to his own ears, but it was necessary for him to feel some semblance of control in this situation, and it helped him to put the other man in his place.

"Who are you? Get into the light." He was perhaps a little bossy, but it wasn't something that he thought ohe ought to be ashamed of. He was a Malfoy, a pureblood. It was his right to put people in their place.

The sudden light made him wince and draw back on reflex, but when no further odd things occurred, he relaxed. Only slightly, though, because it had been a similar ability to the one that that woman had --

-- okay, not thinking about that. Heine scowled and barely remembered to listen to the other person's words.

"Yeah, yeah. Pretty demanding, aren't you?" There was something like a sneer on his face, and if he weren't so tired, he'd probably be saying something more offensive. "If you want to see me, you can do it yourself, whoever you are."
