I Walk Away From The Soundless Room [Very Open]

Who: Junpei iori, and anyone else who might happen by the Outlander Block at the time.
When: After anything that happens here.
Where: Outside the Outlander Block.
Format: Whatever you like.
What: Junpei leaves the apartment and heads outside. OMGWTF fireflies.
Warnings: Junpei might point his katana at you. ;)

Junpei Iori ventured from the tiny, featureless room he found himself in. When he opened the door, he half-expected to see a Shadow or two on the other side, but there were none. "That doesn't mean they're not around the corner, sneaky bastards," he thought to himself. He gripped the hilt of his katana tighter and he walked down the dimly-lit hallway. Junpei was used to dimly-lit hallways. He spent a few hours a week fighting monsters in them.

He rounded one corner, two. The hall had many identical, bland, unwelcoming doors lining it, but so far, no Shadows. He came upon a lonely stairwell. Cautiously descending three flights of stairs, Junpei eventually reached the bottom floor. Still no signs of Shadows, or anything else. It really did remind Junpei of the dorms at home, with a different paint job.

It was too quiet, almost as quiet as the Dark Hour itself, but... "It doesn't feel right. This isn't the Dark Hour, but it doesn't look right, either. Tartarus is way weirder. This is just regular weird. So where am I?"

He slowly made his way to what appeared to be the front door of the building, a way out, and backed himself against the wall next to it. Junpei gripped his katana with both hands. Steeling himself, gathering his courage, "Okay, here we go." A deep breath, and he launched himself to the door, kicking it hard.

The door flew open, and Junpei jumped out, wielding his sword like a baseball bat. "Yaaahhhh!"

"....ahhhh!!!! ...ahhhh. Uh." He checked back and forth, up and down the street. There was nothing to be seen but a dark street lit by a few gas lamps and populated by some old timey-looking buildings like ones he'd seen in movies, and some comic books. "Huh. This is... different. Where the hell am I?"

Junpei lowered his sword and began wandering around. He dug the forge out of his back pocket (it was a tight fit) and flipped it on. "Guys. I'm outside. This can't be Tartarus if i'm outside. But I dunno where this is. Doesn't look like anywhere I've ever been, and in our line of work, that's saying a lot. Heh."

"And what's with all the freaking fireflies?"

When the forge answered him with silence, Junpei groaned and crammed it back in his pocket. He shut his eyes and sighed deeply. "This is just great. What am I supposed to do now?" Blinking, Junpei rested the lengthy blade of his katana over his shoulder. "Stuck in a strange place. Can't contact the guys. Nothing to fight."

"And I'm hungry!!" The sound of Junpei's stomach growling followed him as he trudged down the quiet nighttime road, shoulders hunched, and mumbling under his breath.
