[Oh, inquiring minds want to know, he's sure. There is a pause. Again, he's uncharacteristically grateful for the text.]

That is an exceedingly good question.

["Yes" begs a lot of follow up questions he doesn't really want to answer, including possible questioning of his sanity. "No" is a lie... maybe. He's not sure, honestly, given the tricks the Mist has been known to play. In fact, he could have easily blamed that entirely if he hadn't come to his senses with the same injury inflicted upon him in the... vision? Memories? Whatever they were.]

It would. However, the Mist has been known to inflict physical maladies in the past.

[Oh, how nice it would be to pin this on a Mist hallucination and be done with it.]

[Mm. He always did think Lelouch was smarter than he looked. But still.]

I have heard if one ventures far enough into the Mist, his orifices will begin to bleed. I'm not sure why it would strike at random, but it certainly has the power.

Similar? Not exactly.

[But then, Ciel wasn't also impaled with a death scythe.]

If I had a clearer idea of what happened, I would be less hesitant to discuss it.

[Because at least then he'd have a better idea of how to spin it.]

[Well, he knows what he remembers. He knows it feels like he was back in his own world. But how he traveled there and back with no time in between seems... suspicious. So was it real? For all intents and purposes, he probably should treat it as such, to err on the side of caution. But he also can't rule out the possibility of this city, the Mist or whatever power that dwells here, trying to trick - not himself, exactly, but his master. The boy is more susceptible to such things, and he would certainly be easier to dupe if Sebastian experienced the same as he.

It's all very complicated, and he would like to share none of it with Lelouch.]

Yes. But forgive me, sir, for speaking too much of myself. I can assure you the party will proceed tomorrow, uninterrupted.

[You're still coming, right? He knows nothing of your own recent traumatic experiences.]
