So.... this monster in the ruins.

I gotta wonder if it's anything like the toothy thing I saw out in the mist a couple weeks ago. Cause if it is... boy, warning flier is right. Nasty thing to run into if it's near the city.

I was calling it a land shark... but it might be more of a.... flying shark.

Big fish. Lots of sharp teeth. Likes to eat surfers and pretty swimmers.

They don't normally fly, but hey, who knows. Could happen.

The one I saw is dead. This thing in the ruins has to be a new one.

You shouldn't be scared as long as you stick to the town. Safety in numbers and all that usually works.

I... actually, I don't go into town...much. [ And she tended to stay away from people since she didn't know what kept triggering her transformation. ]

I just will stay away from the ruins for a while. I can go to the Hunting grounds instead for what I need.

Or the arena. Lots of big bad fighters hang around there. They've gotta be useful for something other than preening at themselves.

The arena? I'm... not sure - I thought they were violent, blood-hungry fighters only interested in money?

Besides, I heard that they would even cut people's limbs off in a fight. [ That's a little terrifying. ... also, should she be worried that Trickster would keep an eye out on her? ]

Yeah, some of them. Most of them just like to show off how awesome they think they are. Gotta stoke their egos or they cry like babies.

Well, they'd be be good protection against the beasties in the ruins then, wouldn't they?

Cry like babies? Would they really? [ She smiles a little hesitantly at the thought of these big, burly people behaving like that. That. Would be hilarious. ]

Protection... maybe, but... are they really trustworthy? People like that, they fight for money don't they? Not out of loyalty or anything.

Hey, I've seen it happen. Tough guys are sensitive on the inside. Such fragile egos.

No reason you couldn't hire some yourself. Monsters don't exactly have the money to counter offer.

I've never seen anyone like that. [ She's a little envious - why did she always run into the ones that were creeps or mean? ... well, with exceptions. ]

I suppose - the only coin I have is from selling the pelts and gathering what I need. Maybe if they don't mind ... I won't be able to pay them much, but ... if there's something like that out there...

I like to go into the ruins - even if it's dangerous, there are still interesting things to find there. But mostly, I craft things - like baskets.
